Christina Adrianna Valdez born January 26, 1970, to Mother Patricia Arlene Ortiz, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021. She is survived by husband Gerald F. Valdez, daughter Serenity A. Valdez and Aunt Helen M. Ortiz. Christina is joined in the Kingdom of Heaven alongside her beloved mother and grandparents Leo Max Ortiz and Mary Ortiz.
On August 21, 1999, Christina married the love of her life Gerald, at St. Francis Jerome Catholic Church in Center Co, the two were blessed with 22 years of marriage.
In life Christina loved to stay in contact with her family, she would constantly send texts of love to all those who touched her in life. Christina enjoyed cruising the streets of Monte Vista with her family to see what was new in town, always listing to old school Hip-Hop and R&B as they ventured out. Christina loved hairstyling; she was a beautician from an early age. Her signature tall hair is evidence of her ability to use hair as a portrait to portray style and pizzazz. On occasion that tall hair would get messed up on outdoor excursions to the mountains with her loved ones; however, she didn’t mind. Christina’s main concern was always making sure others were having a good time. She loved to catch up on what was going on in her friends and families lives over a diet soda. She will be missed dearly.
A Rosary will be held Friday, December 17, 2021, at 7:00 pm., and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 10:00 am., both at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 425 Batterson Street Monte Vista, CO. A private Interment will be held at a later date.
