Theada A. Fowler, 88, of Del Norte, Colorado, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 19, 2025. Born on January 14, 1937, in Taos, New Mexico, to Orrie D. Roberts and Zayna B. Crowley, she lived a life filled with love, service, and adventure.


She was a member of the Rainbow Girls of the Eastern Star and Rebekahs as an adult, Ladies Aid of Creede, Alanon, and a Lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (57 years in 2021), where she held many offices on the state and local levels. As a girl she was a Blue Bird in the Campfire girls and as an adult she became a Girl Scout Leader for her daughters. She loved going to the Colorado Renaissance Festival. She started going in 1997 and didn’t miss a year until 2020.


She loved the great outdoors and spent many hours on horseback hunting, fishing, and camping in the San Juans, Sangre De Cristos, Cochatopa, Weminuche Wilderness and Uncompahgre Wilderness Areas.


Her spirit is carried on by her daughter Sandra May of Northglenn, CO; her daughter, Marina Fowler of Del Norte, CO; 1 granddaughter and 3 grandsons; 5 great-grandsons and 5 great-granddaughters. Her parents preceded her in death (Orrie D. Roberts 1996 and Zayna B Crowley- 1999) and a son -in -law (Micheal W. May- 2017.


The family has chosen cremation, and a memorial service will be held at a later date to honor her life. Theada’s spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and the many lives she touched through her years of service and love.
