Mr. Leon Wright (79) passed away on January 21st, 2020 in Monte Vista, CO. He was born on July 27th, 1940 to Harold Wright and Clara Gilbert in Durango, Colorado. Leon was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Wright (Francis).
Leon is survived by his son Rendall Wright and daughter-in-law Cyndi Wright of Monte Vista, Colorado; his son Douglas Wright and daughter-in-law Sara Wright of Morenci Arizona; and his son Gregory Wright and daughter-in-law Susan Wright of Falcon, Colorado.
Leon is survived by his brother Glenn Wright of Sterling, Colorado as well as his sisters Lois Wright of Cortez, Colorado and Wanda Eben of Thornton, Colorado. He had nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Leon was a Rotary Club member and enjoyed cross country skiing, hunting and fishing. He and his wife also taught country dancing. Leon was a member of the Valley View Church of God in Sheridan, CO. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the church in his name at 4390 South Lowell Blvd, Englewood, CO 80110.
Cremation was chosen and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
