Edward “Ben” Steffens

Ben was born in Fort Collins Co and grew up in Hot Sulphur Springs Co. It was there he developed his passion for horses, ranching, hunting and outdoor activities.

He became a man of all trades, earning his living in the construction and electrical fields. He ultimately ended up in the farming and ranching communities working on pivots and whatever else they needed. He built his dream place with his own two hands with the dream of passing it to his kids to continue his dream of a life filled with horses, goats, and little dogs.

He is survived by his daughters Marcie (Dean) Ramsey, and Kris Hendricks. Grandchildren Brittany Fox (Max), Courtney Smith (Ray), Alicia Guel, Amanda Guel and Austin Steffens. As well as 4 great grandchildren Edward Steffens, Bentlee Fox, Kamyrn & Kaydence Smith.

Ben was preceded in death by his wife Gilda Steffens.

Graveside service with military honors will be on Thursday, July 03, 2025, at 11:00am to be held at the Del Norte Cemetery in Del Norte, Co. Following services a reception will be held at Bens Ranch located on 2640 CR. 13 in Del Norte, Co. In lieu of flowers, please donate to American Cancer Society.
