Dell Joe Archuleta 88, Del Norte, CO, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 06, 2021. Dell was born in Cerro, NM on April 17, 1933, to Manual and Emelina (Garcia) Archuleta, and was a long-time resident of Del Norte, CO.
He is survived by his by his wife Mary Ann (Del Norte, CO), sister Thelma Campos (South Fork, CO), sister Carmalita (Joe) Agular (Denver, CO), sister Elvira (Charlie) Rivera (Del Norte, CO), brother Lawrence (Valerie) Archuleta (Denver, CO), son Anthony (Stephanie) Archuleta (Del Norte, CO), daughter Marie (Robert) Graves (Del Norte, CO), daughter Roseann (Cliff) Scott (Pueblo, CO), son Dell James (Liz) Archuleta (Colo. Springs, CO), daughter Diana Archuleta (Paul Sandoval) (Del Norte, CO), son Gerald (Melody) Archuleta (Silt, CO), son Nathaniel (Melissa) Archuleta (Del Norte, CO), son David (Debbie) Archuleta (Tucson, AZ), along with 23 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Dell was a loving husband, brother, dad, and grandpo. He always had a smile on his face and loved to be a jokester. He loved adventure, horses, the outdoors, old western movies, and traditional Mexican music. He had a great sense of humor and always made everyone laugh. He loved his wife very much, along with every one of his children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren in a special way, and he will be so dearly missed. It was never a dull moment with Dell (dad/grandpo) Archuleta.
Viewing will be held Friday, December 10, 2021, from 9 am – 4 pm, at Strohmayer’s Funeral Home in Monte Vista, CO. A Rosary will be held Monday, December 13, 2021, 7:00 pm at the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Del Norte, CO. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2021, 10:00 am at the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Del Norte, CO, with Interment at that Del Norte Cemetery.
