Theresa Mary Duran 62, Monte Vista, went with the Lord on July 19, 2020. She was born in Ensenada, New Mexico to Prez and Cordy Velasquez on September 19, 1957. She married in July 1993 to the love of her life, Randy Duran and spent 28 wonderful years together.

She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Duran, children, Kathy, and Brandon Duran, her father, Prez Velasquez, siblings, Maria (John) Gasper, June (Joe) Mondragon, Josephine (Wayne) Lopez, Martin (Chelsea) Velasquez, Pressie and Frances Velasquez, as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by mother Cordy Velasquez, son Mario Velasquez, mother and father in law, Juanita and Barolin Duran, brothers in law, Rick Castaneda and Steve Valdez, and nephew Rocky Cordova.

She was a kind and beautiful soul. She loved reading, God, and her family. She spent her whole life trying to make everyone feel loved and welcomed in her life. She loved going to the mountains and being with her son Mario. She spread love and the word of God to as many people as she could. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

There will be a memorial service held on August 1, 2020, at 11:30 am, at Rock Creek Campground.
