Sara C. Ortiz 86, Monte Vista, Colorado passed awayAugust 4, 2021. She was born January 17, 1935, to Norberto and Perfecta Martinez.

Sara enjoyed bowling, dancing, yardwork, singing, football, (she was a Raider fan), family gatherings with BBQs. Everyone was welcome in her home. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandkids.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, twelve brothers and sisters.

She is survived by three brothers and one sister, her children: Donilia (Gordon) Helmer of Michigan, Darlene (Freddie) Sisneros of Monte Vista, CO, Filimon "Anthony" Ortiz of Monte Vista, CO, and Katherine Garcia-Ortiz and Fiancé (Kelly Stutesman) of Arizona, ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen, and a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Strohmayer's Funeral Home, 205 S. Broadway Monte Vista, CO.
