Rose Marie Tafoya 74, Monte Vista, CO passed away at home, January 13, 2022.

She was born January 8, 1948, to Carlos Celestino Tafoya and Fidencia Trujillo in Monte Vista, CO.

She worked at the Center Head start where she retired after 20 years. She enjoyed baking bizcochitos, cooking, Novellas, spending time with her granddaughter, BBQs, and family gatherings. Family was her life.

She is survived by her children; Margaret Tafoya (Orlando Rascon), Center, CO, and Julianna Tafoya (Kenneth Martinez), Monte Vista, CO, brothers; Eddie Tafoya (Jessica), Center, CO, and Carlos "Danny" (Sherry) Tafoya, Monte Vista, CO, sisters; Berlinda Tafoya, Denver, CO, and Shirley (Castulo) Maldonado, Center, CO, granddaughters; Amiyah Rose Martinez, Mariah (Angel) Villagomez, Alexis Varela, and Jesenia Limon. She was preceded in death by both her parents, brother; Leroy Tafoya, and sisters; Judy Villanueva and Elizabeth Loya.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the St. Frances Jerome Catholic Church in Center, CO, with a Rosary Friday, January 21, 2022, at 6:00 pm, and a Service Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 10:00 am. Following will be an Inurnment at the Del Norte Cemetery.
