Phyllis Shown 102, Cañon City, CO, passed away peacefully at home, November 13, 2021. She was born August 7, 1919, to Christian Carl Staley and Maria Elsworth. She later married Robert Shown. Phyllis enjoyed ranching, rodeo, fishing, hunting, dancing, but what she enjoyed most was the time she spent with her family. She belonged to the Eastern Star Club.

Phyllis was preceded by both parents, her husband Robert Shown, four sisters, one brother and three nephews. Her memory will live on through her two nieces, one nephew, numerous great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Phyllis will be missed by all who knew her.

Donations may be sent to the Shriners Children's Hospital or St. Jude's Hospital. Cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 1:00 pm., at Strohmayer's Funeral Home 205 S. Broadway Monte Vista, CO.
