Margery Sue Siemering, 87, of Monte Vista, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on July 12, 2026, cared for and comforted by her devoted son, Robert, and daughter-in-law, Kris. Born on December 7, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Alice Burholder.

After graduating from Sargent High School, Margery married the love of her life, Ralph Preston Siemering, right out of high school. She dedicated the early part of her life to being a devoted stay-at-home mom, pouring her heart into raising her children and creating a warm, welcoming home. Later in life, she became a school bus driver, safely transporting generations of local children for over 30 years.

Margery’s true joy was her family and her many passions. She was a gifted quilter whose beautiful creations will be treasured forever. She was a passionate Denver Broncos fan who lived for Bronco Sunday celebrations, and she loved filling out her NCAA tournament brackets based entirely on team colors and mascots. Margery cherished family vacations with Robert and Kris, combining her love of watching her grandkids play basketball with exploring new places-from the heights of Mount Rushmore to searching for sea glass in the Virgin Islands.

A deeply spiritual woman, Margery lived her life with a quiet, profound faith, and her family takes immense comfort in knowing she has returned home to heaven. She found deep peace in the simple things: drinking a warm cup of green tea, the cozy glow of her oil lamps, and spending quiet afternoons watching the birds in the backyard with Ralph before his passing. Margery possessed a rare, beautiful ability to make friends with anyone she met; no one remained a stranger to her for long. Her warmth, resilience, and unconditional love were the foundations of our family.

She is survived by her children, Larry ( Kelly ) Siemering, Beth Siemering, Connie ( John ) Tonn, and Robert ( Kris ) Siemering; her cherished grandchildren, Dakota ( Colin ) Siemering, Cheyenne ( Oscar ) Retana, Nevada ( Haylee ) Siemering, Casey ( Austin ) Bachurski, Brian ( Vashti ) Siemering, Ashley ( Carl ) Pooler, Erin Tonn and Hannah Tonn; ad her precious great-grandchildren, Rhiannon, and Baby Retana, Braylee Siemering, Jonathan and Brooklyn Bachurski, Dulcie, Lucia and Kiera Siemering and Lyana Pooler. She is also survived by a community of close friends who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph Preston Siemering, and her parents, Howard and Alice Burkholder.

A celebration of Margery’s life is pending and will be announced soon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Inurnment will follow at the Monte Vista Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Ralph.
