Long time Monte Vista resident, Luciano C. Espinosa 83, passed away peacefully October 22, 2020 at the Rio Grande Hospital in Del Norte, Colorado. Luciano was born February 5, 1937 in Monte Vista, CO, the loving son of Jose and Anita Espinosa. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Helen R. Valdez on April 27, 1958. The two of them shared a wonderful life together for 62 years.

Luciano was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the great outdoors. He worked for A.E. Staleys as a Maintenance Supervisor for 40 years where he retired. After retirement he did a lot of handyman work for people throughout the San Luis Valley. He would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need. There was truly nothing he couldn't do.

Survivors include: his wife Helen Espinosa, his children; Luis (Ann) Espinosa and Connie (Jim) Lucero, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, brother; Isidoro (Lupita) Lujan, and sister; Marcella Helton. He was preceded in death by his parents; Jose and Anita Espinosa, brothers; Max, Chris and Alfonso, sisters; Helen, Ema, and Fedelina, and numerous friends and relatives.

Luciano will be greatly missed and the only comfort for his family is knowing that he is with GOD and His Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven.

A Burial was chosen, and A Celebration of Life will be at the Holy Name of Mary Church, 645 Pine Street in Del Norte, CO, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday October 30, 2020.
