Jose Phillip Herrera, born on November 23, 1968 in, departed this life on March 6, 2026. He was a beloved member of his community, known for his warmth, kindness, and genuine spirit. Throughout his life, Jose dedicated himself to his family, friends, and the many people whose lives he touched.

His time with us, though far too brief, was filled with moments that will be cherished forever. Jose had a special gift for connecting with others, and his unwavering support and loyalty created lasting bonds and countless fond memories. A viewing will be held in his honor at Strohmayer’s Funeral Home, located at 205 S. Broadway St., Monte Vista, Colorado, on March 21, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Family, friends, and all who knew Jose are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate his life. Cremation will take place following the viewing.

Jose will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His kindness, laughter, and love will never be forgotten.
