Isidoro "AC" Lujan was born on March 31, 1935, in the vibrant community of Los Valdez's Seven Mile Plaza. He lived a long and fulfilling life, passing away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 90.
AC grew up in a rural area steeped in agricultural tradition. From an early age, he was immersed in farm life, where the rhythms of nature and the rewards of hard work instilled in him a strong sense of pride and responsibility. This dedication carried on throughout his life.
AC's love for his land and home was truly inspiring. He spent most of his time outdoors, carefully tending to his crops. For him, farming was a way of life that went beyond mere survival, representing a deep bond with his heritage and the natural world. The fresh earthy aroma, the gentle rustle of the leaves on the trees, and the vibrant sight of his crops thriving in the Colorado sun all contributed to his sense of purpose. You would always find him working tirelessly on his land, driven by an unrelenting passion for farming.
AC enjoyed the outdoors through camping, fishing, and hunting. He had a passion for Spanish and country music. His love of dancing led him to meet his loving wife, Lupita Lujan, and they were married on May 31, 1953. They spent almost 68 years together, building a life and raising a family in Seven Mile Plaza.
AC was a dedicated father to seven children, each of whom benefited from his guidance, support, and unwavering love, His role as a father was at the core of his being. He took immense pride in watching his children grow and start families of their own. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and fulfillment. AC's love for family was evident in the way he prioritized family gatherings, hosting countless celebrations and everyday get togethers at his home. He was delighted to share stories, laughter, meals and sweets with his loved ones, creating a sense of warmth and connection that will be deeply missed. His legacy will live in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
AC is survived by his seven children: Barb (Tom) Vigil, John Lujan (Ilene Dupont), Glen (Teresa) Archuleta, Liz Marquez, Donna Lujan (Don Pacheco), Sabrina (Paul) Gallegos, and Tomas (Pat) Lujan; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sister, Marcella Helton.
AC was preceded in death by his wife, Lupita; daughter Lucy; son-in-law, Robert Marquez; and his mother, father, brothers, and sisters.
The family has chosen cremation. A celebration of life to be held at a later date.
